最近、元素に興味がわいて、周期表の本を眺めています。
（水素から始まっている118個の元素についての本です。たくさんの写真が載っている写真集のような本です。）
眺めていた時、ウランのページに出会い、ハッとしました。
ちょうど同じタイミングで、原子力発電について調べ始めていたからです。
原子力発電は、ウランという小さな小さな元素を核分裂させて出来るエネルギーを使っているということで、
“ウラン、核分裂、電気、自分”が頭の中でつながった瞬間でした。
（物理学者のファインマンという人の本も思い出しました。マンハッタン計画について書かれているページがあります。マンハッタン計画で製造された核爆弾は、結果的に、広島長崎に投下された原子爆弾につながります。）
ウランの元素から、様々な情報が繋がりました。
（福島の原発事故についても。）
もう、電気のない生活は想像できないほど、電気は欠かせないものになっています。
これからもずっと、大量の電気を使う社会。
電気を起こすための、安全な方法は、、、？
そして、核の抑止力について。
いろんなことに想いを馳せながら、何度も手が止まり、描けなくなりました。でもなんとか、元素ウランについて描きました。
（正直に言うと、とても大きなテーマにつながっていて、描ききれない、と感じてしまいました。）
Recently, I’m interested in the periodic table of elements and have been looking at books.
（This book is like a photo book with lots of photos. And about 118 elements starting with hydrogen.）
When I was watching,I just met the uranium page and was surprised.
Because at the same time,I was studying about nuclear power.
According to the book ,Nuclear power is made by fissioning a small element called uranium.
“Uranium, fission, electricity, me”
It was the moment I was connected in my head.
(And the physicist I remembered a book by Feynman. There is a page about the Manhattan project. As a result, atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.)
I thought about various many things by connecting various information from uranium elements.
（The nuclear accident in Fukushima.）
I can’t imagine a life without electricity anymore.
Electricity is indispensable.
And always will be, A society that uses a lot of electricity.
What is a safe power generation method?

About deterrence by nuclear.
While thinking about many things,
I couldn’t continue to draw, but somehow, I drew about the element uranium.
To be honest,it ’s a so big theme and I can’t draw.
